My name is Renee Thurman and I am the preschool teacher here at Lebanon Junction Elementary. This is my 10th year at Lebanon Junction and I couldn't be more happy with this adventure! I began my teaching career as Renee Fields, before getting married to my husband Jimmy in July of 2008. We have two dogs, and two daughters; Isabella and Olivia. I have been working with children for many years as I put myself through college. I obtained my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and then my Masters in Special Education with Concentration in Autism; both from the University of Louisville. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with family and friends, scrapbooking and crafting.

Froggy is our class mascot. He picks an outstanding student each Friday to go home and spend
the weekend with. When he comes back on Monday the special student gets the opportunity to tell the class all about their weekend. This helps the students to follow directions, builds confidence and with speech skills.
